A Call to Prayer

Dmitriy Zherebnenkov

Happy upcoming New Year! One chapter of our life is closing as another is beginning. In these
moments we often reevaluate what has happened and begin to decide how to move forward. But
there’s only one way forward—heaven! While we’re on the road there we have something very
important that helps us—prayer. Prayer is the radio on the battlefield, the connection to the
headquarters, relationship, and communication and fellowship with the living God.

We already have a good tradition to call the first week of January, Prayer Week. This isn’t
because we only pray during this week, but because we dedicate the whole week to gather and
pray focused prayers for various parts of the kingdom of Christ.

“May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say
evermore, ‘God is great!’” (Ps. 70:4)

Beloved, we are not inviting you to something boring, uninteresting, and unentertaining!
Corporate prayer is yet another unique opportunity for us to rejoice in fellowship with God! This
passage reminds us that for those who love salvation and eternal life, fellowship with God is joy!
From Monday through Friday we will gather at 7:00 PM for one hour of prayer. On Saturday, we
will gather at 8:00 AM.
