On Women’s and Men’s Prayer Breakfasts
Dmitriy Zherebnenkov
Oftentimes we must remind ourselves about important and valuable things so that we would not forget to treasure, value, and use them. The men’s and women’s prayer breakfasts are such things that fall into the category of very important and especially valuable ministries of the church of which we must remind ourselves from time to time. We recently had a seminar about relations within a family and we’ve heard some good feedback. These are things we should discuss and be reminded of. We often hear about chasms between generations where fathers don’t spend enough time with their sons and mothers with their daughters. And how little fellowship in prayer! But where can we see a good example of a personal relationship with God? Where can the principles of Titus 2 be visibly practiced?
The answer, however partially, can be found in these prayer breakfasts. Yes, this is a special time when we can talk about particular questions relating to the roles of men, women, ministry, relations between generations, etc.
Beloved, we strongly encourage you to reconsider your approach to the prayer breakfasts and to free up one Saturday a month to spend in the Word and prayer either with the brothers or with the sisters. We are sure that God will work with you and will bless you, give answers, and will strengthen your faith. Don’t neglect any opportunity to have fellowship with the saints. There will come a time where this may no longer be possible or you will be limited in some way. Remember that you won’t be able to make enough money or see all the sights to see, even our life on this earth is temporary, and the most important thing is to get ready for eternity.

The Scripture memory text
1 Thessalonians 4:3-63 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;
4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,
5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
6 that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.
